Saturday, July 28 was nice sunny day for all orienteerers who gathered for our regular meet at Veterans Park, Boise.

The Score course with 21 controls scattered across the park promised beginners quite a number of opportunities. Wonderful Smith's team challenged others and found all 21 controls well under one hour time limit. Others couldn't even come close to their results, however, some attempts were made by Elijah (if not his slowly moving papa) and Masha (if not some butterflies, stones, and flowers). Nicole and Joanna Herrings located 17 controls coming close to our veterans Elijah and Andy. Kerin took leisure time mentally preparing for August meet and casually collecting controls on her way to the finish. Fun and smiles were marks of the day.

The Advanced 2 loop around the lake course attracted three of our best runners. Jeff blazed (speeded, flew like a wind, rocketed) both courses in under 6 minutes per K speed. Well, some more technical training and he is ready to conquer USA Championship title. Dan and Joell battled and showed close times a little bit over one hour. Well done!

Next time during out meet at this park Advanced runners will be challenged with a score of memory courses. Be aware :)
