Wonderful warm spring weather greeted everyone who came to our third meet of the year this past Saturday at Julia Davis park.

The beginner courses was Score-O with 13 controls spread evenly across the park. All our young and beautiful found all controls and finished well below 1 hour limit. Ilana and Kayla accompanied by their father surely had nice time while meeting on the half way Masha with her dog and wipe lash. By the way, Masha missed Elijah very much :( As for Rick it was just a warm-up before trying more advanced 2K, 6 controls loop#3 at impressive pace and finishing it with one big smile. Meanwhile girls had really good time by the river. Looks like orienteering fans got more members of the club.

The Advanced course was 3 loops one man relay format with loop #1 being 3.5K, 8 controls, loop #2 - 4.3K, 9 controls, and loop #3 - 2K, 6 controls circling park and BSU campus. Jeff did loops 1 and 2 - only than he capitulated giving that funny excuse of running full marathon before the meet :) This is such amusement to realize that some people can do 50K per day! Andy was the only one who did all 3 loops. The major motivation for him was the will to collect all controls from loop 3. Next time I probably let him to pick all controls :) Finally David showed! But he didn't have such great motivation as Jeff did so he just stopped by to check how thing are going after his run . Next time no excuses!
