Greetings fellow O'ers! First spring meet of the year brought flocks of the orienteering funs for score-O at Ann Morrison park. 20 controls were evenly spread across the park to give many route choices. Additional controls were placed at Julia Davis/BSU for those hardcore who like to have long runs. 30 controls total would give 40 points maximum within 45 minutes limit time. On beginner and intermediate course at Ann Morrison park many opted to work in groups. Very impressive results by Lexy and Kyndra, as well as solo run by David Arnold! Many had wonderful time and came back with smiles. Even weather cooperated and it started to rain only after the last finisher crossed the line. Masha on her solo run found all controls in preparation to USA Championships in two weeks. This is opening of our school point system which is reflected in the result table. Points given in both intermediate and beginner groups (3pts first place, 2pts second, and 1pt third). We hope to continue seeing you progressing and enjoying at our meets! On advanced course Jeff Black was first missing only two controls. Unfortunately one control near Zoo was missing. Someone probably thought that it was some kind of strange colored banny as many were gathered there for Easter Zoo event. Next group showed very close results with Doug edging the rest. Karin's route was most unusual in all senses but prompted some creative thinking afterwards by trully yours.
