Hello, here are the results for the Ski-O meet this Sunday. The good news is the drought is over and snow coverage is great! Unfortunately it was snowing quite well and the trails were in the process of being groomed with fairly soft trail conditions, so the people that did manage to make it to the trailhead opted for shorter courses. My full length advanced course went unchallenged; however, when I set controls the day before with about 3 inches of fresh on the far loops (and lots of short cuts on my part) it took me about 2.5 hours to do it.

A self appointed snowshoe vigilante told Jeff and Dondi (separately) that they weren't allowed to snowshoe on the trails (even though it is allowed) so Dondi headed back and Jeff opted to change from the intermediate to the novice course which he did off-trail in difficult conditions with over a foot of powder. After Sergey accompanied Masha on the novice course with a late start and borrowed boots, he decided he'd had enough skiing for the day. While picking up controls I encountered a trail that hadn't been groomed and even my traditional skis "submarined" below the surface so it would have been very difficult for anyone if they had tried the advanced and intermediate courses that had some ungroomed trails.

[Masha heads for the last control]
