For our second meet of the year, Mother Nature put down the red carpet for those orienteers venturing out into the rugged, untamed wilderness of Ann Morrison Park. Saturday, February 24 dawned cool, clear and crisp, but temperatures by meet time had warmed up to the mid-forties, with a light breeze -- perfect orienteering weather!

The beginner and intermediate courses were both "standard" loops, with the beginner course being 1.57km in length, 7 controls, with negligible climb, and the intermediate course being 2.89km in length, 10 controls, with 10m of climb (if that much). The Advanced course was a "line" orienteering course -- lines were drawn on the map, with the control possibly *anywhere* along that line. Once the control was found, competitors then went to the end of the line, and started a new leg with a new line. This course was 3.84km in length, 11 controls, and perhaps 10m of climb.
